Long Cove Club

The character

Long Cove Club is one of Hilton Head's most quietly held addresses — a private, member-owned community on the island's south end built around an early Pete Dye course that has drawn national acclaim for decades. It's a golf-and-water community with a deep-water marina on the creek, low-density and heavily wooded, and it stays deliberately residential — an owner-occupant enclave with little vacation churn, just a settled neighborhood of owners.

That owner-occupant character is the whole point. Where the island's resort communities court visitors, Long Cove reads as a members-and-neighbors club where people actually live — the Dye course, the marina, the clubhouse, and the racquet program anchor daily life, and the tight-knit feel is the reason homes here tend to be tightly held and passed among people who already know the place.
